I found this sparrow in my backyard. It had been injured by a cat and was totally freaked out. I put it in a box and brought it to Wild Care in San Rafael. This place is so amazing. They’ll take any injured animal no matter how small or big. People should stop in there just to see the rehabilitated animals in front. These animals were injured in ways that they can’t be released in nature. The sad end to this story is my sparrow didn’t make it. The infection from the cat saliva was too much for it. But I figure at least it didn’t die a slow death in the leaves in my backyard over a period of days.
